Wallis Automotive Europe has existed as an independent automotive wholesaler specialising in Central and Eastern Europe for more than 30 years. Our diverse experience ranges from luxury sports cars to light commercial vehicles.
We are a subsidiary of AutoWallis PLC, one of Central Europe’s most dynamically growing players in the automotive sector, with interests in wholesale, retail, rental and car sharing.
The company is partnered with Jaguar Land Rover in the Adriatic-Balkan markets (8 countries) and Hungary, with headquarters near Budapest and in Zagreb. These iconic British brands have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the last decade, thanks to an expanding product portfolio and they are rapidly evolving into one of the most innovative and acclaimed players in the electric vehicle field.
WAE represents Ssangyong in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria. The South Korean manufacturer is renowned for its excellent four wheel drive technology and SUV expertise. Their ambitious product development programme will ensure that Ssangyong becomes an increasingly influential market player in coming years.
WAE is the Hungarian importer for Isuzu, Japan's oldest vehicle manufacturer and one of the largest truck and LCV producers in the world. The company is famed for its powerful but economical diesel engines and its robust designs. Isuzu has become a leading player on the national market and the D-Max is the favoured pick-up truck for utility companies, construction firms and agricultural concerns. Our dealer network covers all of the major towns and cities.
WAE is also the exclusive distributor for Saab parts and accessories in nine markets: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria.
WAE’s sister company, WAE CEE Ltd. is the importer for Opel passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina, responsible for supporting a large retailer network and supplying parts and accessories to a carpark of more than one million vehicles. The German manufacturer is a leader in electrification and sustainable, low CO₂ technologies and its products are synonymous with style and quality.
AutoWallis purchased Renault’s Hungarian subsidiary in 2022, in a joint venture with the Portuguese Salvador Caetano Group. As such, our group is now the importer for the Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands in Hungary, supported by WAE in terms of shared logistics, IT, finance and other services. Renault is a bold and iconic brand with huge market recognition and a remarkable record for innovation, while Dacia vehicles are famed for their reliability and affordability.

Although new vehicle sales in Central Eastern Europe exceed one million units per year, car ownership levels are still well below Western European levels, meaning huge growth potential.
